  • Summary judgement interesting and caveat

This mother used a 14B motion to ask for significant changes via a summary judgement. the father didn't respond and the judge ruled in favor of the mother despite the family law rules saying that 14Bs are only for simply motions.

I read the judgement and it also said respondents only had 4 days to respond to a 14B! The rules say 7 days so why did this guy only get 4?

I was always under the impression that a summary judgement was through a 14b motion despite it being contradictory to the “procedural and uncomplicated” in nature clause. If not on a 14B how is it supposed to be done?
