  • support obligations on disability

I'm currently on disability insurance and have a very fixed income. Now that we are separating and talking about support I don't know what my obligations are. I do not intend to avoid my support obligations but I need to make sure that I'll still have enough to live on after this is done.

I've been given an offer but it will leave me with less than $1500 per month to live on with no allowances for emergencies or even entertainment. Is support based on what you can earn or did earn? I don't know what to do next and I'm terrified that this will leave me destitute and homeless.

Because of your situation, the support will indeed be based on your actual income.
    Depending on the # of children involved, 1 = $156/month, 2 = $281, 3 = $380 etc.
