All my friends/acquaintances in the States tell me Obama is not liked very much down there.

To me, from here, he looks great!

I lived down there a few years. One thing I noticed that transcended party lines, religion or any other sensitive subjuct is the breaks for the rich on the backs of the average and less weell to do Americans. Look at it as who has medical insurance, then who has good medical insurance. There was a great spread between the classes and they "guess who" liked it that way. Obama is more of a socialized American (spit, like us up North Canacks!) and he has made a point of removing/diminisheing the perks of the rich and he is trying to put what is good about America back in the hands of the average American.

Ok since I started it - go ahead and start the bashing!!! But please remember I never mentioned "their constitional right to bear arms nor the need to have occupied gun racks in every pickup in the great State of Texas!"......

American economy is one big mess. People are still losing their homes and have no jobs.

Forgot the national deficit and the unemployment rates.Don't we have more guns per person, then Americans anyway-we just have to get training and a licence, to have or use them.Never mind more Americans are trying to move up here in the last few years, than ever before in history,yeah he has to be doing something right

He likes the blues and had Mick Jagger and a bunch of folks to the White House so he can't be too bad I guess. He makes a purdy nice speech and visited the Queen so I guess he's a good President.
