  • I am a child seeking legal advice

I am 19 years old, the age of majority in BC. I am seeking advice on whether child support can be given directly to me, the child, if I were move out of my mom's house. Living here is emotionally abusive, and as such, I am considering leaving. My relationship with my dad is such that I cannot live with him. If I were to leave home, would I be entitled to the child support.

Extra info: I am a full-time post-secondary student with a full-time job for the summer (to pay for school, as I am paying for it myself) and will not be working when school begins

Thanks, it's difficult finding forums for people in my situation.
