This is probably a question covered a million times on the forum but I couldn't find a clear / concise answer so thought I would ask the broader group.
Child Support - so fairly straight-forward, plug in line 150 and off-set based upon shared custody.
1. My question is next year my income is going to be about $5000 less because of a much reduced bonus. So I assume we plug in new line 150's next year and automatically I start paying less??? Or does it stay the same and I have to go to court and get an order to have it reduced??? Would appreciate someone clarifying.
Spousal Support - so assume 8 year marriage and the judge awards spousal support.
2. My question here is does spousal support go up and down every year as your income changes as well? If so how does that happen
3. Is spousal support always or typically for a fixed period of time? Or god forbid is it indefinite in some cases??
Thanks all in advance.
