Just before the COVID-19 pandemic I served my ex with a affadavit and a request for information. I was not able to file my paperwork with the court because they were not allowing anyone in. Last week I received a letter stating that my court date was to be done through a conference this Thursday. How is this possible when the court do not even have my paper work? Have anyone else experienced this? Also do anyone have any suggestions for a good lawyer in the Pembroke area?

There should be information in the letter or I would suggest calling the court to see about filing the paperwork.

Explain your situation once on the phone. All should be ok, as all courts are closed. Only urgent situations are taken.
