I am also living the nightmare of dealing with an ex with a personality disorder. I have been dealing with the conflict and insanity for years. It has ruined the relationship he could have had with his teenaged daughter. I have been through it all, the constant litigation, the lies, the games you name it. Not only does my ex have a personality disorder he is also abusive. My saving grace was moving thousands of km's away. It has not totally halted the ongoing conflict. The campaign to ruin me is still ongoing. He even travels to take me to court. What I have been through is enough to break anyone down but I refuse to let it happen.
I have read William Eddy's book "Splitting". I highly recommend it.
Sad as it seems the only way to put an end to it all is to beat them at "their game". Not stoop to their level by any means but come armed with the knowledge of what makes them tick and use it. Counseling for yourself is also key. You need to be strong and prepared. To the personality disorder persons behavior is NEVER about the kids or whatever their ongoing fight may be. To them it is a war. To them the war most be won at all costs. You have to approach this strategically and be a step ahead of them. Eventually they will be seen for what they are. I honestly don't know if it will ever stop. But I will be strong and I will be prepared.
Please read the book. I wish I had many years ago. Best $12.99 ever spent.
