Hello,
My common-law partner and i are looking to purchase a house together in the near future. I will be providing the down payment but we will both contribute equally to the mortgage (the mortgage will be in both our names). We have verbally agreed that if our relationship were to end, the division of any property would be proportionate to how much each person contributed.
He has a child from a previous relationship (they were never married) in which he pays child support.
Could his child support amounts increase if his assets increase?
Thanks,
PEM
