Default CS for 50/50 shared custody

I've been trying to find this in old threads with minimal success.

How are child support payments calculated for 50/50 shared custody? I found this thread, but I'm confused by the term "net amount". Does that mean the payor pays the table amount that matches his net income, as opposed to paying the table amount for his gross income (as if there was a sole custody arrangement)? That seems to be the case, judging from what my partner is paying for two kids with this arrangement. If I match his net income that the judge would have been looking at last year when the interim order was given, it's only $62 off from what the table says.

Trying to do my own math here. Any help would be appreciated

cs for 50/50 is done using both parent's gross income. Off-set.

Assume parent A pays full table amount based on his income. (eg. $700)
Assume parent B pays full table amount based on her income. (eg. $500)

subtract the two, gives you the net amount... ie. parent A pays parent B $200/month
