  • Buying the House

    Hello Everyone,

My wife and I have now come to terms on everything and have a signed and witnessed Separation Agreement. I am going to buy the house from her for XX amount of money, but I'm not sure what to do next or what to expect in regards to extra costs (ie. lawyer fees). There are no lawyers involved yet, I'm assuming this is the time. Any information would be great.

Thanks for all your help in my other posts.

I'd make sure that you have each had independent legal advice regarding the Separation Agreement. It could come back to haunt you!

Normally each party would cover their own legal fees with regard to the Separation Agreement.
