  • Separation Agreement Question

Just anted to do a sanity check.... trying to draw up a separation agreement. the split has been "amicalble" i just want to ensure that we are not missing anything glaring for the agreement. we addressed the matromanial home, the vehicles, child support and any minor assets (household stuff, motorcycle etc....) is there anything major that we may be missing???

    Thanks for any advice........

    Any pensions, rrsps?

Any debts (mortgage, car payments credit card, lines of credit)?

How about details on how CS is to be adjusted each year as your incomes change? e.g. calculate payments for the next 12 mo in May or June, when you both get your income tax assessment from CRA (which seems easiest, but it means that CS for June 2010-May 2011 is based on Jan 2009-Dec 2009 incomes).

Any insurance obligations, or will provisions?

      thanks for the reply......

we did all the debt, car payments and mortgage stuff.... as far as child support it will only be for 17 months anyway, the only dependant child will be 18 next year and we decided that the support will end then... no wills or insurances.... and our respective company pensions are almost equal so that should be ok also......

      thanks again....
