Leaving with kids

Ok when my ex moved away with my kids the statement that his lawyer said was that his reasoning was that he was taking a transfer and it was to better his employment through the company which would give him advancement there instead of where we lived. I found out he has not worked since he moved at all. At first he told me he had a 6-9 month leave to get his personal affairs in order(who gives that to someone when they just get transferred), then my son told me that his dad is going back to college. So his lawyer should know this right? I mean he lied to her as well. When I got the letter stating that he was moving I also received it 5 days before he was leaving which didn't give me time to reply to it or not I just had to let them go.
