Hi,
I originally had a trial scheduled in November. I hired a lawyer in September to help me with the trial. But later the lawyer told me that many documents are not ready and he suggested me to postpone the trial. So I asked him to postpone the trial. But the lawyer keep delaying file form 14b with the court to postpone the trial. Today I got phone call from the trial office to confirm the trial on Friday. So far both parties didn't file the documents with the court for the trial. I am wondering what if the judge will do if we go to trial on Friday? will he agree postpone the trial since we both didn't submit file to the court? Anybody has any idea ? I am upset with my lawyer. He charged me almost $10k to just review my files and hasn't done anything yet. Is there any organization I can complain about the lawyer ? any information is appreciated. |
