Parents agreed to share "housing costs" while child was away at university. Mother's
lawyer arranged for this to be included in amended court order.
Child will
be living in apartment with other students off campus. Rent and utilities are clearly housing costs and food is separately provided for.
Where does one draw the line in terms of what is a section 7 housing cost versus an item that should be covered by the monthly table amount which though lower than table remains
What about furniture ,
New blinds, bedding, towels , kitchen items such as pots and pans etc.
Mother will argue that they are housing costs. Unless court orders detail every conceivable item some will always argue and demand. Mother no mortgage so a big chunk of table is windfall.
Any guidance on where the line should be drawn. I suspect that court cases are not that specific or granular?
Thanks
