    I have been separated 14 months but we have not been to court and now my wife has declaRED BANKRUPCY. Where does that leave me

    Depends on whether the debts were both of yours...if you are on those debts, the creditors may come after you now.

      Make a list of all of the joint accounts which includes debts and assets. Then follow-up with each one. Find out what type of bankruptcy she has filed. Talk to the creditors and find out how this affects you, and whether or not the debts were secured or unsecured. If bankruptcy is declared for certain debts, those same debts cannot be declared on the NFP as liabilities.

        only one debt was in both our names..all other debts she had previous to our 9 month marriage
