  • Lawyers witnessing SA signatures via video

Due to the COVID-19, my lawyer intends to setup videoconferencing to witness signing of separation agreement. I'm a little apprehensive, as I worry about the enforceability of the agreement, if it gets challenged in court in the future based on this mode of signing and witnessing.

I'll appreciate some feedback from forum members regarding this. Thank you.

This is fine and exactly what many offices are doing right now. I don’t see this impacting enforceability.

And, if you go on the FRO govn't page, they are suggesting that you can find a lawyer or paralegal to commission documents virtually, so that documents can continue to be processed.

        Thank you all; that's reassuring.
