    besides, legal aid. What other sources of free advice or counsel? is there any programs for help those that don't qualify for legal aid????

    In some centres (at least in Ontario), there are FLICs (Family Law Information Centre) at the courthouse.

    Even if you don't qualify for legal-aid per se, you can often put your name on the list there, and speak generally to a FLIC lawyer, who can at least point you in the direction you may need to go. (basic things like, use these forms...general (not in depth) advice).

        There is a centre in Ottawa called the Canadian Centre for Men and Families - they are located at 292 Montreal Road Suite 302 in Vanier. They offer a free legal information clinic. They are actually having a meeting tonight at 6:30pm
