LovingDad1234 is on a distinguished road

Exactly. Name change was one of the issues in my case, as Iím sure many others. Did research in Canlii and Vital Statistics Act. Trociuk v. B.C. is one of the keystone cases. Every court decision I came across, where dad got left off birth registration and name selection when he wanted to be involved, resulted in same outcome: hyphenated last name. And there are TONS of cases on Canlii on this issue. Itíd be nice for judges to not have to deal with this no-brainer. And itíd be nice for dads to not have to pay legal fees arguing why their name canít be reflected in their childís identity.
