  • Protection Home Purchase and Future Legal problems

    I am separated a year.
I have just purchased a new home, however it doesn't close for a couple of months.

I have never bought a house on my own before. Its new, exciting but really scarey too.

    How to I protect myself?

If I were to meet someone down the road, and end up living together, can I have one of my parents as an owner of the home with me so that I could protect myself so that I don't lose my home if it ever came down to it?

I am so scared to lose a home now. I have had a terrible year, and the last thing I ever want is to lose my home again.

Don't marry. Live common law to protect your home.
