Can someone please explain to me how rental income would be added to annual employment income? Ex is claiming property taxes, gas, maintenance etc.. for his rental unit, but it is a room in his home. Would these "deductions" hold up in court? He claims rent is $600 per month, but over 12 months he only made $400? please explain how this works?

Rental income for tax purposes is different than support purposes. Its such a low amount of rent per year I wouldn’t even include it for support calculations. Just use his regular income.

It's the same as occupational rent. A percentage of the expenses could be claimed with the rest being added to his income.
