Question, I know this is outside the realm if family law but thought someone may have some advise.
My friend and her BF broke up a year ago. While they were together he purchased a dog. They broke up and she paid him cash for the dog and moved out.
He has harassed her for over a year. Nothing to do with the dog just wanting to get back at her. She has blocked him from fb, blocked emails and has had his phone number blocked.
Apparently he is now taking her To court for joint custody of the dog ( as a way to control her).
He had not seen the dog for a year. Is there nit some sort of statute of limitations when it comes to how long u can request something after u separate.
She has no proof that she paid for the dog.
