Counselling
I went to the Ottawa Jewish Family Services located on Carling Avenue at Woodroffe Avenue. While the program has nothing to do with faith (I'm not Jewish myself), it was the umbrella organization which provided the counselling.
The module I did was eight sessions long. Some of it seemed simple enough, some of it was a little more challenging, but positive and provided some of the tools I needed and forced me to, on occasion, think about things from a different perspective.
The costing was done on a sliding scale depending on what sort of insurance (if any) you have. As I had insurance through work which covered a good portion, my charge was $120 per session.
Rebecca FROMOWITZ is the program director and I spoke to her directly.
