I would appreciate sharing in your hard earned wisdom. I attended my first Case Conference today. I was well prepared but I left somewhat confused. My husband and I were married 33 years and he worked until 2.5 years ago when his company left the country. He has not looked for a job since and went through his severance and quite a bit of our retirement savings. He lived in the house until 8 months ago. After I asked a Court Application to begin we received a letter saying he is severely depressed. No depression in 33 years. When living in our home he was fishing everyday and hiking. Apparently, all he needs is the doctor to say he can't work because of depression and that is it; no support for my daughter or me. I was a stay at home mom of seven children. I have one teenager left at home. I was far better prepared for court than he but now I wonder why did I bother putting in so much time. I
