What would you wear in Court for a Motion?

My lawyer said "business casual" and I said "WTF?" So went in Mark's Work Warehouse work pants and a plaid workshirt with a knited vesty-thing. Clean and pressed. The law student articling said I looked "just like a dad". Went over just fine.

Don't forget to show up either hungover, toked to the gills, or smashed out of your gourd. A shiny hip flask is a nice accessory.

Seriously though, I usually go business casual (dress pants, dress/golf shirt). Avoid jeans, t-shirts (especially ones with offensive or off color logos/humor). No gum, no excessive cologne/perfume, turn the cell OFF (not just to vibrate)

Basically show up clean, groomed (ie. no bedhead), and dressed appropriately.

Thank you for these types of hints. I was going to ask the question myself, great advice.

Hi everyone: Finally got a day for the courthouse. Yeh!!! End of August can not come soon enough. Anyone have thoughts on how a case conference really works? Could this finally be the resolution? Or is there more. No kids to worry about(all grown up) just the house and an agreeable seperation date. Will they make an agreement on this day? Thanks
