Would have to be "Mad Men." Although I still can't believe how much drinking and smoking goes on in that show, it certainly gives us an insight into what times were like back then. The power of advertising back then was probably akin to the impact of social media these days. Favorite character: Pete.Last edited by Nadia; 04-19-2013, 09:22 PM.

but it's almost 1 am, I'll have to finish off S5 EP8 tomorrow night, so that I am ready for Sunday night. I am really not liking Walt right now! Jesse is my new favourite. And I think this is the final season.
Arabian - I've read the GOT series - is the show true to the books? It's on couchtuner as well, but I really don't have time to get drawn into another series!
I wish I had started watching Mad Men from the beginning, Nadia, most of my friends rave about it.. I'd need a week long snow storm pajama session with no one in the house. It is tempting...
And I've never watched Big Bang either -- there is just not enough time in the day, and with summer coming (please Mother Nature, soon), I'll be spending more time out on the deck/gardens.
Has anyone been watching House of Cards? I'm hearing a lot of chitchat about that as well, and I love Kevin Spacey.Start a discussion, not a fire. Post with kindness.

I have been following the Arias trial as well. I don't believe they will give her the needle. Jury doesn't get to see information we do and defense has done a good job at humanizing her. Will be interesting to see what transpires.
I have been taping HLN and then zip through it, eliminating all of the annoying commercials, and it much easier to watch.

As for humanizing - I do not think so. Annoying may be... It close to impossible to humanize someone who inflicted 29 stab wounds, shot in the head and sleat throat from ear to ear and lying constantly. Not to say her story as of how it all happened and the fog just very hard to beleave.
I do taping too... commercials just annoying. You can watch on-line too without all that.

Some of these yanks are bleeding hearts. I can see them locking her up for the rest of her life but now with the prosecutor's defense witness diagnosing her with something I'm sure some jurors will think "well she isn't well and it's not her fault that she is suffering from a personality disorder" blah blah blah. I personally think she should get the needle. Sickens me how these psychos publish books afterwards and profit from their crimes. She can buy alot of sexual favors for her life in jail with that money. Even if she gets life she will be out when she is in her 40's.
I would love to hear an interview with Travis' immediate family members. I bet they have alot of inside information and it must be pretty frustrating for them to have to sit in the court room and listen to all the lies.
