No real reason for that kind of pose except that it sells.

Breasts sell cars, beer and food these days. They are sexy. I guess ass sells sweaters too.

Remember there wouldn't be these ads if they didn't sell.

More interestingly though is that ads that degrade men are more rare than those that degrade women. I recall an ad not to long ago where it was a butt bending over removing something from the oven. The audience assumed it was a woman. And in fact it was a man. The public was enraged and it was removed. The shock factor of it being a man was too much lol

My ex is a classical car collector and he used to/still attends those fancy car shows, with young girls scantly dressed in shorts and bikini tops draping themselves all over the classic cars. I remember quite clearly coming across a photo of him smiling with a young girl on each arm in a sexual pose.

In a couple of months he is appearing in court for a long motion in which he claims I have not complied with "his" strict religious beliefs in respect to the children. I have a more liberal interpation of the religion we share, whilst he is extreme orthodox.

      So go figure.

In the link attached, I realize that in some photos the face isn't visible, but in the front page post with the young lady, is there really a reason for that kind of pose?

I am sure her dad will be pleased

That girl doesn't look any more than 14 or 15 years old.

This is a very disturbing trend. It's gotten really bad the past 15 years or so. "Pimps" and "Hos" videos, online porn, etc. I don't know how it really started. But it just degrades women and girls and unfortunately it is now becoming socially acceptable.

Men are being encouraged to treat women as Booty Calls and a lot of women go for it. Many women believe that it's ok, even fine, to be treated as a piece of meat, and the men feel entitled to treat the women like dirt. It's a really soul-destroying tragedy for everyone.

We need to promote The Hawkeye Initiative . I wish I could highlight the best ones, but they're in there if you click back enough.

Hey, it was better than posting the shirtless Carell-Stewart-Colbert sexy pose thing making the rounds again.

Conservatively dressed women, with high self-esteem, that happen to carry themselves well, don't usually get treated as meat because the would-be Wankers are too scared to even approach such women
I agree entirely. Women who dress in tight short skirts with their boobs hanging out are asking for the wrong kind of attention from the wrong men, unless that is what she wants.

If a woman dresses like a real lady, with classic and neat clothing, she can have even more appeal, that is, if she wants a real man.

Ladies, if you dress like a skank, be prepared to be treated like skank..

A real man treats every woman with respect regardless of what she's wearing. Or we could just make every woman wear a burka.

Most of those dads probably love to ogle when it's someone else's daughter, though.

The main crux of the issue is that we're all sensitized to think this is normal. The teenage girl wants to dress like that because she's taught it's what's expected, and she doesn't want to stand out as 'different' from her peers. The teenage boy treats girls according to their dress because this is what is expected of him.

I much prefer the words 'authentic woman'. An authentic woman believes in herself and find satisfaction within themselves of their worth.

Nothing wrong whatsoever in making the extra effort to 'look and feel' pretty on the outside. But it can't define you.

Phew. Hope I can teach all my children that someday cause it sure isn't easy 'letting them be little' whilst they come home singing 'I'm sexy and I know it' ( I did NOT allow that)

An equal amount of responsibility lies on the boys/young men.

Two teens found guilty in Steubenville rape case - CNN.com

Disgusting how the boys, and their parents, tried to justify their actions. But hey, they can play football.

Or, teach your boys to keep their penis in their pants. Or are the sons you are raising, based on your beliefs, truly the uneducated neanderthals that I think they are?

How does one justify violent actions where violence was the initial act? That has always bothered me, not that I know the right answer.

I think that is a fairly simple answer for most of us: Consent.

Surely you don't think playing violent video games from the age of 4, excuses a now teen boy from raping/gang raping a teen girl?

Oink - I'm watching it now - those poor girls are destroyed. Being in India, they will never have a chance to recover, they will be ostracized, have no husband, no children, no future. Blame the victim.

Noooooo, I was refering to Oinks point that rapists should be castrated. Why is castration justified?
