  • Getting variance for child support

I finally have my ex's 2005 T4 that proves his increased income (court order says he has to pay $X based on his estimated income of $Y). Now that I know that his income is more than what is in the court order, what do I need to do to get my court order varied to increase the child support in accordance with the guidelines? Can I do this without a lawyer? If not, how much would you estimate the lawyers fees to get this one little thing changed?

One more question: is the support payor legally obligated to increase the child support payments (in accordance with the guidelines) as soon as their income increases (without having to get the order varied each time)?
