Believe it or not..still trying to get Section 7 expenses for University. So far..he has tried to say she is not his..after 18 years...consented to paternity..results as expected..she is his..then he stated she did not live at home...affadavits proved that she worked this summer out of town and returned home on weekends..now his lawyer is not answering mine to disclose his income.
I have paid the full tuition and expenses for this years university..he has only paid child support since September totalling $2400.00 The judge now wants us to go to trial as his stupid lies are making numerous issues.
I am $8,000 in...have to pay to fly to Newfoundland to be present for next hearing! I cannot afford both lawyers and tuition so I am considering representing myself.
    HELP.

Just did yesterday in court. Got what I wanted.

Self-repping enforcement of an exiting CS order is about as easy as self-repping gets.

#1 - that's VERY encouraging for those of us who hope to follow in your footsteps; and

        #2 - when's the party?

        Cheers!

        Gary

P.S. I'd very much like to hear about costs when the time comes - it's a big consideration here.

My costs were only $500 and I conceded them in order reach settlement. The issue was adjusting CS to table amount based on increase in income. Amount went up 170%, do I got what I wanted.

            Cool thanks.

I have an issue with costs as it appears to me that they're rarely awarded in favour of the dude.... My theory is that costs are routinely awarded according to who can likely pay them, and not on the basis of who was right, wrong, serious, frivilous, etc. The alternative theory, too scary to consider, is that the dude routinely gets slapped with costs just because he's the dude.

Paranoia? Possibly. Probably. (OK, OK - I just like to alliterate)

            Cheers!

Thanks, i would appreciate any advice you can give me through private messaging. I have to go to Newfoundland to do this...as I am tapped out. Would like to know what to expect in a trial!
