Grace - good catch! Well, that's just reporting of a well-known case, which is a bit different. I've compiled various cases and statutes into one themed list.
Also, as logicalvelocity says, ultimately a judge decides the issue. If a judge believes you're artificially reducing your income to reduce child support, the judge will impute income to you and calculate child support based on this higher amount.
