  • Child Support and Post-Secondary Education Caps

Unfortunately, my final order from 2016 doesn't indicate a child support end date. I understand there are alot of variables that apply and every case is different. My children are ages 15 and 13. Is there anything I can do at this point to protect myself in the future from cs and ps education. I would like to add a cs end date and some type of gap for ps education. End date or a reduced gap amount for a secondary degree.

This could play out one of two ways. If you have no ending date then she can file with FRO and continue to collect until you file something. The other option is she has to file for support and post secondary expenses.

You will have to pay support and your share of expenses but only if they are in a full time program of study and you can ask for proof.

As part of your current motion you can amend it to include all of this.

Unless this is on agreement, I wouldn't waste my time. CS will end when it's supposed to - like everyone

This issue can be added to the settlement conference? I thought the judge will only hear the outstanding issues.

What did the links say that Kinso provided?

What wording are you hoping for that's not already there?

When they are no longer “child of the marriage” in the divorce act.
