  • FRO - Reconciliation of account

I've been paying CS through FRO's wonderful payroll deduction since June 07. This past January I received a notice of arrears for the amount of $1300 with a notice for my employer to start collecting this amount. I proceeded to verify all of my pay stubs since the start date to confirm that they have never missed a payment which they haven't. After several phone calls and an angry email to the Assistant Deputy Minister I was assigned a case worker. My case was sent to their finance group for reconciliation and I was advised that it could take 4 to 6 weeks. I, in the mean time, decided to do my own reconciliation and with 2 years of printed pay receipts and an excel spreadsheet I have learned that I have overpaid by $1000+... And they say I'm in arrears. I am still waiting to hear back from them and have left a few messages with my case worker.

Just wondering if anyone else who is paying through FRO's payroll deduction has taken the time to add up all the numbers and see what your totals were.

True they are a mess... keep after them it is the only way to get them to pay some attention. Search todays post by chopper and take a look at the link that I gave him.

Well it's been well over a year of back and forth (mostly forth by me) trying to get this resolved. I've been informed by FRO that their books balance out and I have to get MY payroll dept. to send ME copies of the cashed cheques. They won't do this because they are not made out to me. My lovely FRO case worker who shall remain nameless has faxed my payroll dept a request to send me the cheques so here I sit waiting. Now the shocker... yesterday I received a cheque from FRO . Although it is less than 1/2 of what I calculate it does prove to me that they're admitting they were WRONG!!!!! Once I get the cashed cheques I will continue with my claim.

          fro issues

I had a clause in my SS about cost of living to be applied yearly and they finally applied it after 5 years and then stated i was in arrears for thousands of dollars. I offered to pay it off over 5 years and was refused. They put a lien on my home and i had to pay off the arrears from the proceeds. They are a useless bunch
