Hey all:
Negotiating SS with the ex right now and the numbers my legal advisor is giving me are way off from the ex's. Complicating factor is that I am the sole shareholder of a Ontario Corporation (numbered company). The exes' lawyer seems to think that the retained earnings of the corporation should be factored into the calcuations for SS. There is not a whole lot of $$ sitting in retained earnings (essentially a rainy day fund), so does this make any sense whatsoever?
Thanks
