  • Guideline amount vs full table amount?

If the children is with one parent 100% of the time is it as simple as looking up the Guideline amount?

If a parent has a child 50% of the time and the other parent has no income is it just looking up each parents amount in the guidelines and paying that?

If a parent has full custody then its table amount.

If you have 50/50 then it is offset.

If one parent doesn’t have an income and it is offset then you need to get an income imputed to determine the offset amount.

Paying offset is a tax disaster.
Each parent should pay the other the required amount.
