Looking for some advice and opinions on how we handle the below situation:
D20 lives in Nova Scotia with mother. She has completed one year of post-secondary (a program in Ontario while they still lived here). She is currently not in school and working full-time, thus no CS for her. We have a written agreement with mom to contribute 2K/year to post-secondary until age 22 or program completion (whichever comes first).
She has received acceptance to a prestigious and very expensive program in the US. Similar programs are available in Canada but without the visibility of this school.
We pay reduced CS for S13 who also lives in Nova Scotia with mom and are responsible for all travel costs to fly him out to see us.
No issue whatsoever contributing the agreed upon 2K, but I'm wondering about CS. Should we be paying a similarly reduced amount in CS for D20 or is full CS warranted because she's going away?
