So I got lucky and got served paper. One of the claims is asking for pre and post judgment costs and interests? When will a court order this. What should be my response.
    Thanks for the help.
Feeling a little behind the eight ball. STBX kept on saying settle outside court till I got served.

if I remember correctly you always have to ask for costs at the start. If you lose your case there is a good chance you may have to pay some of her costs. Just like if you ask for costs and you win, she may have to pay some of your costs. Its just a normal thing. Remember you have to ask for costs also.

What were the papers for??? An offer to settle???

Pre and post judgement interest and costs are standard terms in virtually all motions.

If the ex suggests you her money, than she is going to ask for interest on the balance should the judge agree with her. It is a nominal annual rate set by the courts (maybe regulations) I believe.
