form 13.1 and CS and SS

It might be a trivial question, but I need to verify. Form 13.1 asks expenses...etc. My understanding is the courts go with a guideline for CS based on the income tax return.

I am assuming that the extra data will be used to calculate the net worth and to be used in deciding the SS.

Am I correct in the above assumption?
