Ok i will be legit and say what we did was not right , it was done to help ex during layoffs ,we been separated 1yr 3 month First of all i have 2 boys living with me and she has 2 boys living with her , my income is 45,000 and hers 35000 a year
For 2 children and a gross annual income of $45,000.00, the monthly child support payment will be $684.00.
For 2 children and a gross annual income of $35,000.00, the monthly child support payment will be $539.00.
works out for 145.00 CS i need to pay
Now my ex claimed all 4 boys even thou she only had 2 with child tax money you get monthly until April of this year and when she did her income tax she claimed all 4 boys
I think she was getting 1100 child tax credit per month and she received 4000.00 in income tax return
She came and offered me 3500.00 to buy me out of the matrimonial home and i rejected , i do have a lawyer and we have started proceedings and she found out and it upset her she refuses to sell , i said she doesn't need to sell just buy me out ! I walked away and let lawyer deal with her , i requested that she help me pay some of the sporting fees which adds up and she said she will help , then all of sudden she came back and said i owe her child support payments , im like wtf ! 350.00 no idea where she got this from for a year worth !
She previous said to me we had joint custody so if we had joint custody wouldn't ive been entitled to some of the child tax credit ? My friend thinks i should at least be entitled too piece of the income tax ! or this is wrong of me , she started working full time in December after being layer off for 4 month , but know she want child support because her 1100 is being cut down to 350 a month for 2 kids
If i can get some advice my lawyer is aware of income tax and child tax credit , but this just happen , im wondering should i go and request some back payments as well , i know what we did was wrong but i did it to help her out being nice guy not im getting stung by her
