  • Actuary recommendation in Ottawa?

Does anyone have someone they would recommend in Ottawa for actuary services (ferderal goverment pension experience) ? Need to figure out 50/50 split of fed pension vs. rrsp's values at seperation and future value.

Anyone had know of a well versed professional?

    Thanks...

New legislation now requires that pension companies provide valuation services so you don't have to go looking for an actuary. The service won't be offered for free (in my case out cost $600), but it at least saves you from having to find someone.

thanks for the replies...I would like a professional valuation to compare present/future values for rrsp vs. gov't pension to ease split.

Actually since you are looking a a federal public service pension, you still need to use an actuary.

The new legislation only force ontario pension to perform the actuary work for you not hte federal.

As a member or spouse you can request an estimate of the division. But you will still need to go to an actuary with it.

Consult the website for info about the estimate request.
