  • Amending consent order

If both parties agree can an old consent order be amended and filed with the court without getting lawyers involved?

I believe its just a consent motion to change but I could be wrong!

Two people can update their agreement at any time and don't require the court to make an order. If you agree then agree and move forward. 99.9% of people do not need court orders to parent.

This is fine and dandy....but its ripe for a meltdown once 1 parent decides to not continue with what was mutually agreed upon. If you ended up in court, and have a court order, its likely there will be conflict with any 'agreements' between 2 parents.
