  • Adult Adoption

I am 33 years old and wanting to be legally adopted by my stepfather of 15 years. I'm trying to file the paperwork with the courts myself in an attempt to keep the costs down with lawyers.
I have gotten all the papers I need to fill out and I'm willing to go to a lawyer to have them look over the papers and make sure I have filled everything out so I judge will not send the stuff back for incorrect filing.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has done an adoption of a person over the age of 18 and if both biological parents consent is needed or not?

I have read a little bit about it in the past, AFAIK you are now (obvioulsy) of legal age and only your consent is needed. I believe that your natural parents may need to be informed though.

Yes, I assumed with me being a legal adult that my consent would be the only one required, however on some of the documents my lawyers office printed off for me, there are some in which are for my biological parents to fill out.
I don't know if I am able to submit them to the courts with a N/A and a reason why or not.

Hi Mouse...I'm hoping that this will be simple for you, because I plan on finding my ex a stepmom to replace me (to go along with his current mom). If he has another woman to cook, clean, laundry, care for his children it might help move this divorce along more quickly !

Kinky! Does that go with an adult diapering fetish?
