Access vs. Custody

I have a Motion tomorrow. My ex brought it for increased access. To me his affidavit argues more for "custody" type issues rather than arguements to back up his request for more access. How do I separate what he is stating in his affidavit that is relevent to access and not custody and how do I use this to the judge?

You say he argues more for 'custody' - that means that he is requesting more 'control' i.e. more say in decisions. Is that what you meant?
