  • Are case conference briefs available to the public?

Are family law proceeding available to anyone like criminal cases are?Can you just order transcripts and get them on nay one and any court in Canada?

  • #2
CC briefs are usually discarded after the conference. An exception might be if something specific came up to require a judge's order, like evidence of false financials resulting in a non-consent order to provide statements or such. Just an example, but the brief might end up being evidence in such a case. But 99% of the time they are thrown out.

"Normally" transcripts are not available for "case conferences" however any court reporter will tell you that they frequently do transcripts for case conferences. The case conference briefs may be thrown out but not the evidence that they frequently provide. At the end of the day, expect to be told incorrect information because there are literally so many variables and exceptions to almost anything that can work against you or for you.
