Contempt of Court

When a Judge orders a party to file copies of certain documents by a certain date, and that party doesn't meet the deadline, would that be considered "contempt of court"? If the other party is in "contempt of court", would the Judge decide that, or does the other party have to make a motion per (whichever sub-section of _____ Act)?
Been trying to change child support amount since February. The Applicant was supposed to serve and file certain papers by the 25th. As of this morning (22nd) I have not been served, nor were they filed at court.

Welcome to family law, where there no or virtually no consequences for failing to provide information ordered by the court. Yes, it's contempt but watch and learn as the judges slaps the other party's wrist and orders them to do it all over again.

Oh, I was hoping it wouldn't be dragged out for at least another month! Because after it's been resolved in court, the changes still have to go through FRO. If I have copies of the same documents, could I show them to the Judge on the day of the Settlement Hearing, just to get it over with? Would a Judge permit that?
