    question.

if you do not know where the ex has moved and you haven't seen your children for awhile, paying guideline amounts for Child SUpport (through FRO), how to do you go baout trying to gain access?

Wouldn't that be considered kidnapping if one parent moved the children somewhere without notifying the other parent?

Yes, it would be considered kidnapping. Even where one parent is awarded sole custody (and I am not sure that is the case here), that does not give that parent a right to just take off with the children without informing the other parents of their whereabouts. Very worrying indeed.

Please contact the authorities and let them know asap. Your children should not be denied access to either parent.

I would be petitioning the court immediately.

You would have a good chance to seek a change of custody over to yourself, if there were no issues otherwise preventing that. Your ex has to be "friendly" and responsible about your access to your children.

And how do the children feel about not seeing you? Is the ex badmouthing you, lieing about you to them? This is called Parental Alienation. I can't imagine how they would get away with this without upsetting the children.

These are issues the courts would take very seriously and you could sue for custody.

You have a right as a parent to know where your children are living. Your ex cannot arbitrarily move them and not give you the contact information. It is grounds for an ex parte order (emergency custody order) as long as there are no issues with you as a parent.
