Do the police or CAS provide lawyers for women?

Why in heaven's name would you think that the CAS would do that? The CAS doesn't advocate for anyone in custody disputes. They are there to protect children against risky situations.

Where do you come up with these thoughts? Frankly, I think you spend more energy inventing hypotheses than you do trying to settle your matter.

If the police and cas are already involved, than there's way more to worry about than custody. If they're involved, neither of you could have a good out come.

Not necessarily. CAS is involved with the children, but the case file is open respective to the individual household. (ie. in my situation CPS (CAS to you Ontario folks) is involved with my EX's household...not mine. Should the parental capacity study find in my favor and I get full custody, the case is closed)

To answer your question cl4...no the police/CAS do not supply a lawyer, that's done through legal aid. (and you need to be poverty line for them to help you).
