  • Affidavit ??

I have joint custody of my 2 boys and due the life style, poor choices, poor judgment and mental issues of my Ex, my former In laws (Ex Sister , ex mother, ex father In law) have expressed that the kids will be better with me.

What do I need to get done if I ask them to put it in writing ? would be a valid document in court if I go after sole custody ?

    Thanks

Affidavits and any documentation regarding incidents would be very helpful to you in court. Also what you can do as well is when you are in court request that the office of the Childrens lawyer become involved. They can only be appointed to do so by the court. They are to represent the children and what is best for them. They will speak to family, new partners, school, and doctor with regard to the kids. They generally do not start until age 12 but in some cases such as mine my child was 8. If you have a lawyer or legal aid speak with them about this to get more info.
