  • Advice on letter to cancel motion to change

    Hello

This might be a rather strange question. My ex and I have come to an agreement on our own and we both fired our lawyers as they were trying to keep our fight going on longer rather than helping. We are looking for an example of a Letter or document that we could send to the court and Judge to cancel our “ motion to change for a custody battle” as we both have agreed on an amicable solution and do not want to go to court and use lawyers. Both our former lawyers were not willing to do the cancellation and this is the reason we both let them go. After 7 years of torment and fighting on both our parts we finally would like to end this peaceful.

    Any help would be great

Go to your next conference, no lawyers needed, and talk to the judge. Otherwise a 14B motion may work, but may be better to speak directly with the judge. Failing that, you both could just stop showing up.

I would say go down to the courthouse, talk to FLIC about filing your agreement with the court and withdrawing your case.
