    jlalex,

I should also mention that if the case is dismissed. Either party could bring forth a motion to reinstate the case or another application could be started.

If you have a lawyer involved completing the paperwork, it may be cheaper in the long run to bring forth an interim motion to resolve some of the issues or schedule a settlement conference. If the issues are still outstanding at a settlement conference, the next step would be a trial management conference and further trial of the issues.

    jlalex,

during case management there are time lines to abide to. If no action occurs, the Registrar dismisses the case. In your circumstance, you did have a case conference. The Judge must of recomended how the case should of proceeeded, further settlement conference or motion. As such, it might be wise to schedule a motion to obtain some interim closure of some of the issues.

started a topic Notice of dismissal....

    Notice of dismissal....

Question..we just received a notice of dismissal...I'm not sure why we received this as we had a case conference in March and another to be scheduled in October....there was an order made by the judge in the first case conference...

Yet this letter acts as if no action has been taken since it was originally filed...

can anyone shed some light on this?
