That's right, questioned by another country's border authorities but by then it may be too late for your child and you, don't you think? So theoretically speaking any criminal can leave Canada undetected because it's none of our business where and if people are leaving/going, what's important is: who is coming in. But some people are leaving with the intend never to come back. Now what?

I totally agree with you however the other countries boarder guards are their to defend their country, not Canadian children end of story.

If Canada cared about who was leaving our country they would stop everyone before leaving. This is not the case.

See, this is how I see things. If we don't like something and do nothing to change it - we deserve what we have. For everything we have in life right now, today, someone faught, perhaps got into trouble, spent personal time, was called names, was put in jail and may be even killed back then.

Do we want to change what we don't like?

It is a tragedy that this does happen and can still happen to this day. But, as I said before, in my most recent experience it 'appears' that the issue is being addressed (how effective it is I have no idea).

The boards exist to provide support and advice from the personal perspectives of fellow members. It will be a rude awakening if you can't take or leave peoples comments. Many sting.......of course upon later reflection, I am sure members would say that comments they received are spot on.
