Final Child Support Order Received

Three years and 11 months after I received custody of my two kids, I finally received a Final Order for child support!

It took 11 court appearances and the court file is three volumes in size with my own records stored in two full bankers' boxes.

The "system" was packed with hurdles and challenges where I encountered judges with conflicting opinions on the matter, court staff who could not decide on the same processing and required forms and, of course, huge gender biases that overshadowed my entire case.

But, for the kids, I won!

Now the hard part: actually getting paid the support!
